Math

We study math in units. Each unit covers a specific topic such as number sense, geometry or data. We circle back to the big ideas many times during the year. Remember that your student is discovering how numbers work and all the many ways we can manipulate them to get to an answer. There is not right or wrong way to arrive at the answer but it has to make sense to them. If you don’t understand what your child is trying to do in any of the homework have them explain it to you. Resources will be posted within the math pages of this site to try and help this process.
